Within the framework of the Portuguese Ministry of Education’s “curricular guidelines for preschool education”, Once upon a time… begins with the reading of a text selected by the preschool teacher, followed by its acting. Its aims are furthering the development of the child’s verbal and non-verbal communication skills, creativity and emotional expressions, while promoting a love for books and vocabulary expansion.
