Angela (a strange loop)

Description

This is the story of Angela, a social media influencer with a seemingly ordinary existence. However, if we use a magnifying lens and look carefully, we will see much more than a trivial image on the flat surface of the screen. A mysterious illness is spreading inside Angela. In this new creation, the German stage director Susanne Kennedy, in collaboration with visual artist Markus Selg, once again transcends the traditional limits of the theatre to plunge us into the depths of this character, by means of a labyrinthine, ever-changing multimedia production. What is going on inside Angela’s restless mind? Everything she dreams, hears and thinks manifests itself in space, just as everything that happens in the world is reflected within her, like a state of unstoppable inflammation, leading to a strange and endless loop. What is Angela’s disease symptom of and what does it tell us about what it means to be human today?
